the chef & Mom

Steve liked good food, and spicy food. When he was able, he would cook. He frequently made chili and tried to "tone it down" for Mom, who didn't like spicy food (she may have been allergic--she turned bright red whenever she ate anything spicy). Mom would also cook for  him, and it would be  too bland and not to his taste. they worked it out. Steve had a selection of hot sauces to spice up food that Mom made and she pretty much didnt' eat what he made.

Steve made it possible for Mom to live at home a long time after she would have had to go into skilled nursing. He gave her the required Parkinson's meds 6 times a day and helped her get around until he was not able to get around himself.  It was a gift to the whole family that she could stay at home as long as she did, and we are very grateful to Steve.
