Norm's six pac Motorcycle
Norm build a Indian 2 wheel Motorcycle that had a Corvair (car) engine in it. Norm was the only one that could start it, as it was Kick started, no electrical starter. I met Norm at the Tridents Car Show in LA in 1972. He was introduce to me by a close friend Kim Nye. He was standing by the MC at the show, 3 or 4 members of the SCTA wearing their jackets came up and started talking to Norm about the bike. One of them asked him how fast would it go? Norm said"200MPH". He replied, for the bike to do 200, Norm would have to put some flairing on the front. Norm said I've ridden this bike on the San Diego freeway 180mph at 4:00am, and I know how much throttle I had left. If it won't do 200mph I'll throw it off of a cliff!!Needless to say that ended the conversation....Ha
I was in a pickup truck club in Burbank with Norm, so I have many fond memories with my crazy friend. Norm was fun beyond belief, a true friend, a dedicated family man a very skilled wood artist and I will never forget my friend Norm. RIP my Rod God!!!!
