Daniel David Knievel, 62, of Springfield, formally of Sedalia, Missouri passed away on February 10, 2019. He was born March 22, 1956 in Norfolk, Nebraska, the son of Antone and Inez Arehart Knievel.

Dan was a member of the Sedalia Elks Lodge, and a 1974 graduate of Smith Cotton High School, and enjoyed reminiscing about his High School Basketball and Football days. He was a devout Nebraska Cornhuskers Fan!
He was preceded in death by his father, and sister Cheryl Knievel Callahan.

Dan was survived by his son Koby Knievel of Sedalia, MO, a daughter Danette (Nick) Fessler of Yokosuka, Japan; Grandchildren Roman, and Nicolette Fessler of Yokosuka, Japan; Mother Inez Knievel of Phoenix, AZ; sisters Judy Knievel of Phoenix, AZ and Toni Weise of Sedalia, MO; Brothers, Jim Knievel of Magnolia, TX, and Terry Knievel of Phoenix, AZ, and several nieces and nephews

Dan was a great guy, good friend and he will be missed. I will remember that bigger than life laugh, smile and voice! My thoughts and prayers go out to family and friends who loved him so.

Dan's sister Cheryl was my classmate in Norfolk and Dan was often at their home when we would stop there after school. Cheryl loved her brothers and sisters. May your memories of Dan comfort you. I'm sorry for your loss.

I moved to Sedalia in 1972 was new to Sedalia but got to meet a lot friends. Dan was a good friend and schoolmate. He was awesome athlete, enjoyed being around his friends that I met while at Smith-Cotten. I will never forget my times at S-C being around being around fellow classmates with Dan enjoying the times we had.
