Condolence From: Amy Malick
Condolence: I remember Ellen with such fondness and appreciation. My three children were students at Riverview Elementary School in Durango, Colo., when Ellen was secretary there. At that time, we parents and the teachers were worried about my middle child, Matt, who was a horrible student, but a sweet, sweet boy. We worked with specialists, psychologists, and counselors, concerned about his future. Ellen would always say to me, "Relax. Matt will be just fine." Today, Matt is an elementary PE teacher and high school coach in Tacoma, Wash. He is married and has three beautiful sons. Ellen was right. May all who loved Ellen find comfort in her passing.
