Steven Mark Hancock

Steven Mark Hancock, 63, of Springfield, MO, passed away on September 4, 2025, in his home.

Steve was born 5/23/1962 in San Diego, CA, the son of Carl Hancock and Mary Jo Hancock-Anderson (Scoggin).

Steve graduated from Parkview High School in 1980, then went on to St Louis College of Pharmacy, earning a B.S. in Pharmacy.

Steve had many careers in his life. Prior to his retirement in 2024, he was the owner/operator of Steve Hancock Painting.

He especially loved soaking up the sunshine, watching the Chiefs, and taking his friends and family out to dinner.

Remaining to cherish Steve’s memory are children, Mallory Hancock and Shea Karis (Hancock); grandchildren, Kai Hancock-Brandt; parents, Carl Hancock and Mary Jo Hancock-Anderson; sisters, Connie Goss (Hancock) and Donna Hancock; nieces and nephews, Jacob Goss, Aron Goss, Nathan Goss, Kayla Goss, Jessica Chapman, Jennifer Parker, Jamie Chapman, and Josh Chapman.

Celebration of Life will be held September 19th, 2025 at the Springfield Lake Boathouse for close friends and family.

Memorial donations in Steve’s memory may be directed to Parkinson’s Group of the Ozarks.
