Sara Phinney

Sara Alice Phinney, was born October 20, 1940 at Burge (Cox) Springfield, Mo. She departed from this earth on March 2, 2014. A graduate of Central High 1958, she was a sister, mother, wife and friend. Sara was a housewife and will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her father Thomas S. Appleberry, mother, Violet G. Appleberry, her aunt Mary C. Williams, and a grandson Travis Ruiz. Sara is survived by a sister, Donna Gillman of Scottsdale, Az, Sons, Jeff Irby, Terry Irby, and Keith Pryor of Springfield, Mo, a daughter Kellie Irby Medina, of Springfield, Mo, Grandchildren Catherine Irby, Justin Combs, Nick Peters, Joseph Ruiz, Timothy Pryor, of Springfield, Mo, Kylie Irby, Dalton Irby and Jacob Irby of Ozark, Mo. Great grandchildren, Adonna Irby, Makenzie Godino, Travis Combs, Izzabelle Goetz, of Springfield, Mo, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Christian Health Care West and East, Springfield, Mo, for their excellent care of Sara the last few years. Cremation is under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield, Mo.
