Roger passed away on September 30, at his home in Springfield, MO. He was born on November 15, 1973 to Veda (Baker) Barnard and Dwight Earehart. He attended Lebanon High School and was one class short of earning his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University.
A born storyteller, Roger possessed a vivid imagination and a sharp wit, which naturally led him to pursue his passion in screenwriting. In 2015, he dared to take a chance on his dreams and actually ventured out to Hollywood to use his talents.
While he continued to write and was considered a polished storyteller, he took pride in working hard and having a strong work ethic. With his most recent position at DHL Supply Chain as a forklift operator.
Outside of work, Roger was an avid sports fan and a loyal KC Chiefs fan. He enjoyed the strategy and excitement of sports betting and said he was going to win it big this year.
Roger was a good-natured, fun-loving and super well-liked guy who loved spending time with family and hanging out with friends. He never missed a good party, a great 80s band or the opportunity to barbecue or go swimming in Kathy and Rick’s pool.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dwight Earehart.
He is survived by his mother, Veda Barnard, sisters, Carrie Stretch (Michael) and Kathy Earehart (Rick Mizer); nieces and nephews, Klara, V, Steven and Lily.
You left us way too soon, Roger. Save us a seat until we come home and meet again. You will be missed.
