Patrick Joseph Haynes

Pat Haynes (54) Springfield MO passed away at 2:30 AM Monday May 11, 2026 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born October 19, 1971 in North Kansas City MO to Susan Haynes. He attended Oak Park High School and was an Army Veteran. He married Kim Terry on October 26, 2002, in Gladstone MO and became a father to the one that brought meaning to his life, Tucker on March 12, 2005.

Pat was a proud stay at home dad, homeschooling his son and teaching him everything he needed to know to be a productive human in life. One of Pat’s quotes that he lived by was “There is good in the world, Fight for it!” and he stood his ground anytime his principles were challenged. You always knew where you stood with him and if he thought you were wrong, he had no problems letting you know.

His passion was collecting knives, pens, guns, and running people over in the video game Red Dead Redemption 2. He could tell you anything you wanted to know (and even things you didn’t) on a variety of subjects as he was an avid researcher spending hours learning about new and interesting things. If he decided you were worthy of conversation, you walked away knowing something that you didn’t previously know. He made sure to always surround himself with the people who were important to him and made sure we knew just how much he loved us. We are all going to miss his dry wit, his disdain for stupid people and his all around presence. Even though he tried to blend in, you always knew he was there, most likely silently judging you for your poor decisions.

He is survived by his wife Kim, son Tucker, mother Susan Johnson, father Keith Johnson, sister Nikki Hummel along with step brothers, niece, nephew, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Harry and Betty Haynes and his mother in law Sue Terry.

Family viewing will be held Thursday May 14, 2026 at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home with a family graveside service Friday May 15 , 2026 at the Veterans Cemetery in Ozark MO.

Flowers and cards can be sent to the funeral home, but if preferred, contributions in his honor can be made to Children’s Miracle Network PO Box 8812 Springfield MO 65801.
