Mary Belle Hampton

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Belle Hampton, a beloved member of the Springfield community, who departed this life on Friday, June 26th, 2026, at the age of 90. Mary was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on Saturday, April 11th, 1936, and had made Springfield her home for many years.

Mary was the cherished daughter of Earl Hampton and Olline (Tharp) Hampton Kinyon. She was also loved by her stepfather, Lloyd Kinyon. All three have preceded her in death, having shaped her life with their love and guidance.

Mary dedicated her career to serving others, working diligently as a secretary in the field of social work. Her commitment to help and support those in need made a lasting impact on her colleagues and the community she served.

Though Mary has left this world, she is survived in spirit by the countless lives she touched through her kind heart and unwavering dedication to others.

Mary will be interred with her family at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Kansas City on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Inc. In this time of grief, we find solace in the memories we have shared with Mary and the love she brought into every encounter.

Mary Belle Hampton will be dearly missed, but her legacy of compassion and kindness will endure for generations. May she rest in peace, joining her parents and stepfather in eternal serenity.
