Linda Susan Larson-Orthman passed on Monday morning, February 23, 2026, around 8:00 AM in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on February 22, 1948, to Selma and Kenneth Larson. Linda had resided in Corvallis, OR. She married Warren David Orthman. This union had two children born into it: Susan Jeanne Orthman and David Scott Orthman. Her grandchildren are Kaliegh Dawn Stephenson, Alexander David Orthman, Thor Orthman, Vincent Orthman, Viktor Orthman, and Titan Orthman. Her great-grandchildren are Freyja Stephenson, Finley Stephenson, Matthew Stephenson, and Susanna Stephenson.
Linda is also survived by two sisters: Sylvia Larson and Karen Mace.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Selma Rydberg (Dillon) Larson and William Kenneth Larson; her brother, Kenneth Larson; and her sister, Margaret Vancamp.
Linda loved animals and was a dog groomer for 54 years. Linda also loved traveling and went on an Alaskan cruise, which she really enjoyed, as well as a few other cruises. She loved Oregon and the beauty it held. She took many pictures of all the beautiful landscapes she enjoyed seeing.
She loved her kids and grandchildren with all her heart! She spoke of them very often. She enjoyed games at Scenic Meadows, especially bingo and Farkle. The residents at Scenic Meadows called Linda the “Farkle Queen” and she loved being challenged to score the highest and win!
Linda said that in living at Scenic Meadows she had more friends here than she had ever had in her life. She was very loved and adored by all her friends and family.
Linda was best remembered for her accepting ability! She was loving and kind to all!
Services for Linda will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Boulevard Baptist Church at 2:00 PM. This will be a celebration of Ms. Linda’s life.
