Joyceyln “Gayl” Whitmire, age 78, of Osceola, MO passed away on December 29, 2021 at home.
She was born in Emporia, KS to Vernon & Darlene Dacy on February 10, 1943. She married her husband, David Whitmire on March 28, 1964 in Kansas City, KS.
She worked as a waitress at Hawthorn Cafe in Independence, MO for 11 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, Sylvia Casares and Pat Dobbeleare, a brother and sister-in-law Tony and Joanne Pulcinella, sister-in-law, Sarah Whitmire and a son-in-law, David Broyles.
She is survived by four daughters, Debra Dacy & Dale Steinhoff of the home, Sandy Stegman & Mark of Jacksonville, FL, Rebecca Gibbs of Oklahoma City, OK and Shelby Usher & Joseph of Jacksonville, FL. She has six Grandchildren, Janelle Armstrong of Osceola, MO, Samantha Buchholz & Benjamin of Middleburg, FL, Jacob Broyles & Mary of Kingsville, MO, Stephanie Gibbs of Fort Smith, AR, Bradley Gibbs of McAlester, OK and Ty Stegman of Jacksonville, FL.
She has twelve Great-Grandchildren, Jasmine & Riley Armstrong of Osceola, MO, Tanner, Tatum, Tayleigh, Teagan & Trace Buchholz of Middleburg, FL, Madison & Elly Broyles of Kingsville, MO, Dixie & Kinzley Gibbs of Fort Smith, AR and Hayley Gibbs of McAlester, OK. She is also survived by one brother, Donald Dacy of Stockton, CA, three brothers-in-law, Dwight Dobbeleare of Shawnee, KS, Lupe Casares of Kansas City, KS and Russell Whitmire of Bristol, VA, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Brown. Along with many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the home in Osceola, MO.
