Joseph L Hoover 73, of Springfield Mo, passed away at 5:00 am.( Monday, May 26, 2025 ) in Springfield, MO in his home.
He was born 03/26/1952 Sikeston, Missouri to James Hoover and Naomi Elliot. Joe married Ruth A Davis on March 21, 1977. He was a carpenter, plumber, electrician, and best of all a mechanic he could do just about anything. Joe was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back and would never ask for help for him self. He had 3 daughters Jennifer Tartenaar, Teresa Noyes, and Rebecca Hoover, to which he was very proud of.
Joe was a veteran, he served in the Vietnam War from 70 to 71 then he was in the army reserves till 1975 where he was honorably discharged.
Hoover loved riding his motorcycle and working on everyone's cars and bikes. He would go to the drag races as much as he could and every year to the antique car swap meet, where he would stop every 30 feet cause he knew every in Springfield! Joe was friends with everyone never met an enemy.
He was proceeded in death by his Father James E Hoover; His sister Robin Gilmore; his brother Randy Hoover; and his nephew Randy Hoover Jr
He is survived by his wife Ruth Hoover aka (Squeak), His 3 daughters Jenny, Teresa , and Becky along with 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The celebration of life for Joseph Hoover will be June 28, 2025 at 2:00 pm at his garage where he loved to be. Come by and pay your respect and tell a story on how you knew him and or loved him.
You will forever be missed and loved by many Joseph Lee Hoover!
