John Dale LaPointe-Ackfeld

John Lapointe-Ackfeld, 46, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on October 4, 2025. He was born on May 8, 1979, in South Dakota. He is survived by his daughters, Serenity Ackfeld of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Auria Pendergrass of Springfield, Missouri; his brother, Chris Ackfeld and family of Springfield, Missouri; his sister, Ashley Fangmann and family of O’Fallon, Missouri; and his dear aunt, Jeanne Hale.

John was deeply loved by many, including Jayme Pendergrass, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Serena Lapointe-Ackfeld; his father, Christopher Ackfeld; his baby sister, Laura Ackfeld; his little brothers, Matthew Ackfeld and Logan Ackfeld; and his grandparents, Tom and Sylvia Wilson, and Floriana and Ed Ackfeld.

John could light up any room with his humor and charisma. The world was a better place with John in it.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Henderson Boys and Girls Clubs of Springfield, Missouri. Services are pending.
