Joetta Sue (Stepp) Rader passed away peacefully at her home in Springfield, Missouri on October 6, 2025, at the age of 85. Joetta was born on December 10, 1939, to Oral and Kathryn (Thompson) Stepp. On March 3, 1957, she married the love of her life Charles Wayne Rader Sr., their love and marriage was centered in Christ and was a great example of what a loving marriage should be. The Lord was first in her life and Charles was second along with her cat Squallie. She was a wonderful loving mother who always put her two children Caryn (Rader) Mackie and Charles Wayne Rader Jr. and others before herself. Her great loves included: her family, grandchildren, friends, her Bible time, her church, her many cats throughout her life, horses, decorating her homes, and flowers. She loved the frequent bouquets of flowers that Charles brought her. Joetta was the best self-taught cook and a family favorite (especially of the grandkids) was her sugar cookies. Joetta loved being the owner and hostess of their Bed and Breakfast in St. Joseph, Missouri. Charles and Joetta enjoyed traveling and took many trips to the south including Charleston and Natchez.
Today we honor her and feel so thankful that she was an important part of our lives.
