Jeffrey “Jeff” Robert Bagg, 58, passed away August 21, 2026 in his Springfield home.

He was born October 16, 1967 in Hinsdale, Illinois to Maryan and Robert Bagg. Jeff attended Reeds Spring high school, studied at Southwest Missouri State University, and then joined the military service to serve his nation.

Jeff proudly served our country in the US Navy served two deployments, including Operation Desert Storm. He honorably served until April 1991. Jeff later got into the food industry and enjoyed a career in food and equipment sales. There wasn’t a restaurant that Jeff ate at that didn’t get a business card offering a new kitchen set up! Jeff loved to fish more than anything and had the friends and stories to go with.

He was proceeded in death by his father. Jeff is survived by his beloved daughters, Madison Battermann of Boone, NC and Rachel Bannister of Branson, MO. Above all, Jeff was a devoted father who deeply loved his daughters. They were his greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. He was equally devoted to his most recent stage of life when he became Pops for his two Granddaughters, Zuriah and Ivanelle.

His funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Cherry Street Baptist Church with Dennis Jennings officiating under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut St. and a Graveside Service will follow at 11:00 am at Missouri Veterans Cemetery: 5201 South Southwood Road, Springfield, MO 65804, with Full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ozark Public Television, the Veterans Association, and the Boys Ranch.
