Guy Gerard Veevaert

Guy Gerard Veevaert, 92, of Branson, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14th, 2025.

He was born on October 13th, 1932 in Paris, France and lived in France until 19 years of age. At 19, with little understanding of the English language, Guy came to the United States and enlisted in the United States Air Force. Proud of his service in the Air Force and his United States citizenship, Guy appreciated the opportunity of the United States while always maintaining his French charm and cultural traits.

Beloved by his surviving wife, Starleen, his three children, Linda, Diane, and Glen (of his first wife, Evelyn), and his seven grandchildren, Sara, Laura, Timothy, of Diane and Phil Biggs; Kelly of Linda and Mark James, and, Gretchen, Windham, and Samuel, of Jane and Glen Veevaert and three great grandchildren, Nathan born to Laura and Vignesh Radhakrishnan, Vivienne, born to Gretchen and Peter Bacchiocchi, and Wescott, born to Alexandra and Windham Veevaert. Guy’s elegance and style, with his French touch, made him a unique and central presence at all family gatherings.

Guy displayed his many talents as an aircraft mechanic with Western Airlines, a flight engineer with American Flyers Airlines, a real estate agent with Realty World, and as a trucking owner/operator. Throughout his life and occupations, Guy exercised his talents with a strength of will and determination that showed a resolve to achieve his goals. In his efforts, he established a process of continuous growth and improvement. Guy had a keen mind — always learning, sharing, and appreciating stimulating conversation.

Through all of his days, Guy flourished with a flair for French cooking, a love of wine, and an enjoyment of good company, family, and conversation. All who knew him, can see him in their minds eye with an apron, a glass of wine, a smile, and a great meal in the works.
