Gregory Alan Spurlock

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory (“Gregg”) Alan Spurlock, 64. He died in his home in Republic, Missouri on Saturday, May 9th, 2026.

He was born to Bonnie Goad and Bob Spurlock in Kentucky on November 15th, 1961. He graduated from Powell County High School in 1980 where he also met the love of his life, Teresa Spurlock and they married 9/28/1985.

Gregg is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Beverly Furstenberg and Heather Kozlowski; two grandchildren, Gabriel Furstenberg and Raelynn Givens. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Teresa Spurlock.

Gregg loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid tropical fish hobbyist, long time fan of the UK Wildcats and Dale Earnhardt, enjoyed cars and loved dogs as well as horses.

At the family’s request, there will be a private memorial held graveside. The family requests no flowers and encourages others to consider donating to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in remembrance and honor of Gregg.
