Gene Weston Gabriel

Gene Weston Gabriel, 72, El Dorado Springs, Missouri passed away at 6:36 PM on Saturday, October 31st in his son’s home in Willard, Missouri.

He was born September 25th, 1954 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Ronald C. Gabriel and Annav (Brotton) Gabriel. He attended California High School in Whittier, California.

In his adult life, Gene worked as a lineman for the city of Eldorado Springs and also spent time working in pest control. Gene loved hunting, fishing and making music with his close friends. He was also an avid Chiefs fan and never missed a game.

Those closest to Gene knew him as an old school hippie who believed deeply in spiritual energy and had an extensive collection of crystals in his home that he would often share with loved ones as a token of appreciation. Gene will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Gene’s biggest purpose and passion in life was being a father and a grandfather. Gene loved going fishing with his son and grandson. He enjoyed spending time with his grandson watching funny videos or playing video games. He loved to watch his son make music the same way he had done so many years before. Gene loved his family most of all.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert Lee Gabriel; sister Lovilla Pearl Gabriel. He is survived by his son, Codey Gabriel; grandson, Ryder Gabriel; Sister, Rhonda Knerien and daughter in-law, Kennedi Gabriel.
