Floy Hornback

Floy Hornback, age 92, formally of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 10pm, Sunday, March 10, 2013 at Willard Care Center. Floy was born to Mary and Nathaniel Boggess on October 28, 1920 in Sebree, Kentucky.
Upon completion of High School, Floy cared for the injured and sick as a certified nurses’ aide at Life Care Center in Paducah, Kentucky.
Floy survived her first husband Joe Root, How was in the Shriners. Floy re-married Duke Hornback, who passed in 1983.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, father, two brothers – Troy and Willie, and her sister Lilly.
Mrs. Hornback is survived by her children: Ruby Root, Anna Owens, Jamie Root, and Richard Root. Her grandchildren: JoAnna Provinge, Helen Persha, Kim Astin , John-Tyler Rice, Amanda Fasolo , Jamie Smith, Alan Root, Carmen Sexton, Robert Root. Great Grandchildren: Damon, Greg, William, Timothy, Ashley, Zachary, Nickolaus, and Aaron. Tara, Dylan, George Allen 2nd, Alyxia, Ciara, Caitlyn, Joseph, McKenzie, Jacob, Samantha, Zachary, Brooklyn: Great, Great Grandchildren: Timothy Jr. and Addison, Madison, Bentley.
Visitation will held from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Saturday, 16th in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home at 500 East Walnut St., Springfield, Mo
