Eva Pauline Kirk

Eva Pauline Kirk, 88 years old, of Republic MO, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at home.

She was born December 21, 1937 in Bogota, Illinois to Delmer and Nola King. She attended Newton High School, Millikin University, and Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis, MO. Later, Drury College in Springfield, MO to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing.

She practiced nursing for 50 years. Her clinical areas were surgical scrub nurse, surgical ward supervisor, general floor nursing, director of nursing, acute care neuro trauma, emergency department (certified emergency care nurse), visiting home healthcare, long term health care. And proudly helped raise and educate 5 grandchildren from 1997 till time of her passing.

She enjoyed quilting, knitting, flowers, playing piano, scrapbooking and photo albums.

She is survived by her husband, 3 children and spouses, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents; 7 brothers and 2 sisters.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00am with Joseph Mahan officiating.  Burial will follow at Lindsey Cemetery in Republic, Missouri.
