Eleanor Joan Whitaker

Eleanor Joan Whitaker, 92, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Friday, September 5, 2026 in Springfield, Missouri. She was born on March 31, 1934 in Petersburg, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters. She was a graduate of Creighton University and she received a Masters degree in Library Science from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She is survived by her husband, Robert, and sons John and his wife Michelle, and Patrick and his wife, Lisa, and six grandchildren. 

Arrangements are by Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home and services will be at Immaculate Conception Church on Friday, September 11 at 12 noon with a wake at 11:00 a.m.
