Dorothy Darlene Newman

Dorothy Darlene Newman passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 88.

She was born in Osceola, Missouri, on November 27, 1936, to Maggie Bird and Frank Roberts. She was a sibling to Cletius, Raymond, Roy, Carol and Vernon.

She was a loving mother to her eight children, Bruce, Frank, David, Bobby, Tommy, Brenda, Carolyn, and Darlene. Later, becoming a doting grandmother to 14 grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren, as well as many great-great-grandchildren.

Dorothy was known for her love of coffee, George Straight and her family.

She enjoyed baking, her Walmart shopping trips and listening to country music.

Her legacy of love and laughter will forever be etched in our hearts.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2 pm Friday August 1, 2025 with Pastor Marty Delattes officiating at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, Missouri.  Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery 4677 W. Division Springfield, Missouri.  The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
