In Loving Memory of Dorothy Joan Cline (Krattley) May 30, 1963 – May 8th , 2025

Dorothy Joan Cline (Krattley), age 61, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 8th, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 30th, 1963, in Fort Knox, Kentucky, Joanie brought light, strength, and kindness to every life she touched. Her faithfulness to the lord brought her peace after a long fight with cancer.

Joanie’s life was a tapestry woven with compassion, resilience, and fierce devotion to her family. She was the beloved daughter of William and Dorothy (Vanzandt) Cline of Springfield, Missouri, who instilled in her a deep sense of love, faith, and perseverance. Joanie carried these values with grace throughout her life and passed them down to her children and grandchildren, who were the joy and center of her world.

She is survived by her cherished children, Tarra (Thomas) Sawyer of Elkland, Missouri, and Jerimiah (Dusty) Krattley of Buffalo, Missouri. Dorothy’s legacy continues in her grandchildren— Ashlynn (Ollie), Caleb, Charlotte, and Spencer—whose lives she filled with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable stories. She delighted in every moment she spent with them, offering guidance, hugs, and unconditional love.

Joanie was a beloved sister to David Cline, Bill (Melinda) Cline, and Debbie Cline. Her bond with her siblings was unbreakable, marked by shared memories, deep friendship, and enduring support. She was also a treasured aunt to her nieces and nephews—Robert, Charles, Camron, and Gabby—and great-nephew Bert, who adored her fun-loving spirit and kind heart.

To know Joanie was to know a woman of quiet strength, unwavering loyalty, and a heart large enough to hold everyone she met. Her love was constant in the lives of her family, and her memory will be a beacon of comfort in the days ahead.

Joanie will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the stories shared around kitchen tables, in the traditions she passed down, and in the gentle strength of those who carry her love with them.

A celebration of Joanie’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025. A visitation is open to all who loved her at 2pm followed immediately by the service at 3:00 pm. Hermann Lohmeyer Funeral Home on Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Where friends and family will gather to honor a life so beautifully lived and a woman so deeply loved. Flowers and cherished memories are welcome. If you are unable to attend, there were a couple of charities that were near and dear to Joanie's heart. Contributions can be made under her name to St. Jude's Children’s Hospital or any local animal shelter.
