Doris R. McWilliams, 69, Springfield, departed this life at 9:59 a.m. Sunday, February 4, 2007 in St. John's Hospital and is now alive in Christ.
She was born June 20, 1937 in Kirkwood, MO to Jim and Laura (Pahle) Griffin. Doris was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Virgil Lee Griffin; and her sister Anna Lavern Barlow.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, James McWilliams; her two sons, Bradley McWilliams, and his wife Kathleen, and Michael McWilliams, and his wife Pamela; her daughter, Sheryl Krieger, and her husband Stephen; 9 grandchildren; her sister, Deloris May Waldmann; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
Visitation, in Springfield, will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut.
An additional visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 8:00 p.m.Thursday, Feb. 8, 2007 at Forever Oak Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 10301 Big Bend Rd., Kirkwood, MO (I-44 and Big Bend).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1707 W. Chestnut Expressway, Springfield, MO 65802.
