Donny Ray Lewis

Donny Lewis, of Springfield, Missouri, age 83, entered into the presence of the Lord on September 26, 2025.

He was born in Oregon and grew up in the small town of Rockvale, Colorado of which he told many stories of his boyhood adventures. After graduating from Florence High School, where he excelled in football and wrestling, he served in the United States Army, deployed to Vietnam in 1965 out of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Upon discharge from the Army, he graduated from Sacramento State University and began a long and successful career of 50 years in real estate, traveling across the United States as a developer. Donny was known for his high work ethic, integrity and generosity.

He enjoyed a full life and when he wasn’t working he enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, skiing, gardening, traveling around the world and most of all running his antique car business with his brother and partner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, three daughters, one son and one grandson. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

A graveside memorial service will be held in Canon City at a later date.
