Darren Delmar Hannah

Darren Delmar Hannah, age 60, of Springfield, Missouri passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2025.

He was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 30, 1965 and was adopted by Delmar and Virgina Bulin Hannah when he was 17 days old through the Methodist Mission Home of Texas.

The Hannah family moved from Garland, Texas to Springfield, Missouri in 1968 and this is where Darren lived the rest of his life. He attended Cowden Elementary, Pershing Junior High, and graduated from Parkview High School in 1984

Darren loved being outdoors. As a child he was always playing ball with his friends in the empty lot behind his house or convincing his sister to play basketball or football in the front yard with him. His life long interest in cars developed into a passion for Pontiac Firebirds which he enjoyed working on with friends and his son, Owen. As an adult he took up kayaking after being introduced to the sport by his friend Todd. Darren kayaked many rivers in Missouri and Arkansas with the Big Piney being his favorite. Several times he enjoyed the incredible experience of kayaking the Nantahala and Chattooga Rivers in North Carolina.

Darren had a personality that allowed him to be able to carry on a conversation with anyone. He made friends wherever he went and will be missed by all who knew him.

Darren is survived by his parents, Del and Ginny Hannah; his son, Owen Hannah, daughter-in-law Marcia, grandsons Leo, Noah, and Khelso Hannah; his life partner, Stephanie Pratt; his sister, Dina Shisler and husband Gary and their children Garret Shisler and Hannah Martin.

Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home at 500 E Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.
