Conn Morris

Cornelius Darryl Morris, known as “Conn,” passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born on May 24, 1938, in Springfield, Missouri, to Jean Tuttle Morris and Marvin Morris, the eldest of three sons. He was preceded in death by his parents and younger brothers, Joe Morris and Johnny Morris.

A graduate of Central High School, Conn went on to attend Southwest Missouri State University, where he shared his love for music as a pianist, performing in numerous college concerts.

Conn served his country in the United States Army as a member of the Signal Corps, with a tour of duty that took him overseas to Germany.

His grandparents, Clara Koeppen Tuttle and Russell Lemuel Tuttle, owned a flower shop in Springfield, which was later managed by his parents on Boonville Street.

Conn is survived by a nephew and cousin. He was laid to rest at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Missouri.
