Charles “Bart” Talley was born in Springfield, Missouri, on May 24, 1974, and passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 51.
Bart was raised by his mother, Betty Parnell, and her husband, Todd, living in several cities throughout his childhood. He spent his early adult years in the United States—studying, beginning his career, and building lasting friendships—before ultimately moving to Brisbane, Australia, where he spent much of his later adult life and where his beloved daughter, Taylor Talley, still lives. Bart built a successful career in software sales after earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Central Missouri State University, followed by an additional master’s degree from Southwest Baptist University. His generous spirit and warm personality endeared him to colleagues and friends alike.
Above all, Bart treasured his daughter, Taylor. She was the center of his life, and he made many of his personal choices with her best interests at heart.
A lifelong baseball enthusiast, Bart played the game well into adulthood. One of his favorite memories was attending Game 7 of the 1982 World Series and watching his St. Louis Cardinals claim the championship.
Bart will be deeply missed by his Parnell family, as well as by his many friends and colleagues. A private celebration of his life will be held by his family and closest friends.
