Carmichael De’Angelo Brown, affectionately known as “CM,” passed away on February 8, 2026. He was born March 21, 1989, in Springfield, Missouri — a city that always remained home in his heart and where his roots and legacy live on.
Though his journey carried him through Bartlesville, Oklahoma during his youth and later to Derby/Wichita, Kansas from 2011–2017, Springfield was always his foundation.
Carmichael was a devoted father, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him. He was the cherished son of Saundra Carter and Carl Michael Brown and was lovingly raised by his stepfather Marc Brown, who played a true fatherly role in his life.
He is survived by his loving siblings De’Aundre Carter, Shannon Brown, Carl Brown, Mikki Brown, and Ashley Brown, and was preceded in passing by his brother Ross Brown.
Carmichael was the proud and devoted father of TreaVon Brown and Kingston Brown, whom he loved deeply and spoke of with pride and purpose. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who adored him and whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Erma Carter and George Whitcomb; and his aunts and uncles Saundra Beasley, Mary Beasley, Norris Beasley, Louis Beasley, Bertram Carter, and Billy Beasley.
From an early age, Carmichael built his life around loyalty, honesty, and family. He was known for speaking his mind and keeping it real — always authentic and true to himself. Whether you agreed with him or not, you always knew where he stood. His fearless honesty, humor, and energy made him unforgettable to those who knew and loved him.
Funny, charismatic, and full of life, Carmichael could light up any room. He easily made friends and turned them into brothers. His laughter and presence created lasting memories that will live on forever.
Basketball was one of Carmichael’s greatest loves. A proud Central High School graduate, Class of 2007, he was known for relentless rebounding, a competitive spirit, and a smooth mid-range jump shot. Regarded by many as one of the top rebounders in Missouri, he played with heart, toughness, and pride.
He later coached youth and AAU basketball, mentoring young athletes and pouring into the next generation — especially his children, whom he guided with love, discipline, and pride. For Carmichael, the game was never just basketball; it was a way to lead, teach, and inspire.
Music was a powerful force in Carmichael’s life. He helped bring together what would become NSB (Northside Boyz) and later helped build the United We Stand movement alongside his brothers and close friends. Through music, performances, and shared dreams, he created lasting memories and a brotherhood that became family.
Carmichael carried an entrepreneurial spirit and a vision for building something meaningful. He believed in creating opportunity, uplifting youth, and inspiring confidence. His creativity and drive reflected his desire to leave something positive behind.
Above all, Carmichael was a family man. He loved his children deeply and valued his siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family with unwavering loyalty. He shared an unbreakable bond with his brothers — a lifetime of memories built on music, sports, laughter, and real love.
He lived fully with passion, authenticity, and heart. His wild stories, unforgettable moments, and the laughter he brought will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Outside of the music, the games, and everything else — he was a brother, a father, a friend, and a light in the lives of many.
It is an honor to call him our brother, our son, our family.
Long live Carmichael De’Angelo Brown, affectionately known as CM.
We love you. We will forever miss you. We honor you, and we salute you.
