Candace “Candy” Pearson, 57, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away suddenly on April 11th.
Candy worked as a caregiver, a role that reflected her passion for being a provider for others. She accepted people as they were, often extending understanding and care in ways that were her own. When it mattered most, she showed up through her actions, and those who truly knew her understood how deeply she cared and how willing she was to stand by the people who meant the most to her.
She lived a simple life and found happiness in it. Candy held strong personal beliefs about family, friendships, and faith, which shaped her perspective and the way she moved through life. While her path wasn’t always easy, she stayed true to what she believed was important in her own way.
Candy is survived by her son, Drew Pearson; her future daughter-in-law, Emily Simpson; her granddaughter, Adelynn Pearson; her mother-in-law, Maxine Pearson; her sister-in-law, Tara Mooneyham; her niece, Tia Mooneyham (Steeves); her nephew, Ty Mooneyham; her special friend, Dewey Mayfield; several aunts, uncles, and extended family; as well as countless friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Pearson; and her mother and father, Paula and Dale Konopasek.
A graveside service is planned for Wednesday, April 22nd at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 3506 North National, Springfield, MO 65803.
She will be remembered for her compassion, her individuality, and the care she gave to others in both her work and her life.
