Brenda Kay Baughman

Brenda K. Baughman, 69, from Springfield, Missouri, passed away in her sleep on the morning of August 19, 2026 in her Springfield home.

She loved to sing, and play games. She loved her children and family. She was a proud mother and grandmother. She loved fantasy shows, action movies, and Stephen King books. She was a very kind and generous woman who would help anyone no questions asked. She made everyone who met her feel welcome and loved.

Throughout her life she had a variety of jobs, from bartending, to housekeeping, to factory work before finally retiring in the 2010's after a five year bout with cancer, that she won.

She will be forever loved and missed by her family, Mary Fields (sister), Carl and Ellen Shipley (brother in law and sister), Michael Brown (son), nieces, nephews, cousins, and her many friends and neighbors that considered her family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Ira and Dorothy Fields; and brothers, Danny and Rodger Fields.

She was survived by her sons, Danny and Michael Brown.

The family will be holding a Celebration of Life for Brenda in September, TBD. They will notify everyone as soon as final arrangements are made.
