Anne Emily Blades

Anne Emily Blades died peacefully in her home after a long illness. She was born in Springfield, Missouri, on June 9, 1968, and lived there most of her life. She was a voracious reader and had an incredible memory for details. She loved trivia games and was always the winner of the family games at Christmas. She was a thoughtful gift giver who never forgot a special occasion. She loved animals more than anything and worked as a veterinary technician for several years.

Anne was was preceded in death by her father, Ross Dees Blades, M.D. She is survived by her mother, Joyce Thomas Blades; her sisters and bothers-in-law, Sally and Tim Weir, and Molly and Bill Robb; her nieces Maddie and Emily Robb; her Aunt Gertrude and Uncle David Thomas; and her cousin Cindy Zavala.

There will be no memorial service at Anne’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her favorite charity, The Humane Society of Southwest Missouri, via their website. Our family wishes to thank friends, neighbors and the Daughters of St. Francis of DeSales for their kindness and support of “Annie B.”
