My sister and I recount often about when we played in a string trio with Ernestine and went to a Missouri State Music Festival and won 1st place. Ernestine played the violin and my sister and I played cello and piano. Needless to say, we attribute Ernestine and her exemplary violin playing as the big contributor for us winning.
