Tonya Denise Keithley, 56, Springfield, went to be with her Lord and Savior in Heaven at 9:06 a.m. on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born August 12th, 1965, in Yakima, Washington. By the time she was 3 months old she was living in Springfield, Missouri with Emory and Mary (Keithley) Maples, who adopted her by the time she was 2 years old. Emory nicknamed her “Tiny Tot” at a young age and many call her “Tiny” to this day. She attended Bissett elementary, Pipkin middle school, and graduated Central High School in Springfield in 1983. She married William Joseph Keithley on August 27th, 1983.

She spent her life in service to and taking care of others. She worked as a CNA during high school, took care of multiple family and friends throughout her life when they were unable to care for themselves and maintain their households. She homeschooled her son his last 2 years of school and her daughter for 12 years and made many sacrifices to do so. She worked several customer service jobs where she always put the customer first. She spent many hours volunteering through multiple organizations for countless events, her most favorite of all being the KTTS Christmas Crusade. With her husband she found a passion and love for stock car racing and the Kansas City Chiefs. Her ultimate pride and joy in life were her grandchildren, who lovingly endeared her as “Nonnee.” She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Chester, Fredrick, and Keith, sisters Betty June and Katie, several aunts and uncles, and one grandchild.

She is survived by her husband William Joseph Keithley of 38 years, son William Thomas Keithley of Springfield, Missouri, daughter Shaunna Denise (Keithley) Teske and husband Rocky of Lebanon, Missouri, grandchildren Ariel Noel, William Carman Joseph, and Lane Aaron James, sisters Silvia, Virginia, Janice, Dixie, and Nelda, brothers Wilford, Aubrey, and Steven, many nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
