Obituary for Terry Chris Moore
Terry Chris Moore, 64, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2022.
Terry was born on December 25, 1957 to Guy F. and Estella M. (Mott) Moore in Sidney, NY. Terry grew up in Masonville, NY and graduated from Sidney Senior High School in 1977. While in high school, Terry was on the Sidney Warriors basketball and track teams.
For over 25 years, Terry lived in the Syracuse, NY area. He was employed as an Office Manager and Service Manager working with network managers and customers to coordinate customer satisfaction in the Syracuse Service Office for IKON Office Solutions/Vitec Solutions, LLC. Terry also worked for KJ Electric as a Purchasing Manager. In 2017 he began working as a Supply Chain Coordinator at Mercy Orthopedics in Ozark, MO. He was planning to retire later this year to start the next chapter of his life, including traveling around the country.
Terry had a lifelong love for sports and the outdoors, where he built great friendships into family. He spent many nights around the campfire and playing softball with his best friends. He was also a proud uncle, who was known to take his nieces on adventures with him including fishing and camping trips, as well as attending many of their sporting and school events over the years.
In 2007, Terry began his relationship with the love of his life, Carol Roach/Moore. They married on August 25, 2020. During their relationship they lived in Syracuse, NY, San Diego, CA, and Nixa, MO. Terry adored Carol, and the home and family they built together. While living in Nixa, Terry and Carol made many friends through the Baptist Church.
Terry was predeceased by his father, Guy; and sister, Tammy (Moore) Warner.
Terry is survived by his wife Carol of Nixa, MO; mother Estella of Unadilla, NY; step-children: Kimberly (Mitch) Friend, James F. Roach, Jr., and Christine (Christian) Roach who reside in the Buffalo, NY area; nieces: Stacey (Andy) Clements of Camillus, NY, and Lucy Anne Warner of Masonville, NY.
Terry also leaves behind his beloved Shiba Inu, Mesha, who misses him dearly.
A Memorial Service was held on Monday June 6th at 6PM at Assembly of God located at 5154 S. State Highway FF, in Battlefield, MO.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Sunday July 17, 2022, at 3PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help located at 115 O’Connell Ave, Buffalo, NY 14204, with Father Paul Seil celebrating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Terry’s name to the American Cancer Association.
