Obituary for Terry Shackelford
In Bolivar, MO on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021, Terrell Lee Shackelford, “Terry” to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 74 years.
He was born on January 21st, 1947 in Boonville, MO to Russell & Delores (Conrad) Shackelford. Terry was a self-employed environmental chemist who spent countless hours climbing smokestacks throughout the central United States. Terry was an avid collector of guns and coins. He enjoyed sitting on a stream prospecting for gold and leaning against a tree waiting for a target to appear in his sights. Terry was a passionate and lifelong football fan and wanted to watch his beloved KC Chiefs play in another Super Bowl.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Hortense Darr and uncle, Stanley Shackelford. Terry will be fondly remembered by his brother, Bobby Shackelford (Theresa), of N. Kansas City, MO; uncle, Wilbur Ray Mortimeyer (Barbara) of Cuba, MO and countless family and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held on April 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Elliott Grove Cemetery in Brunswick, Missouri.
