Obituary for Teresa Lynn Spurlock
Teresa Lynn Spurlock, 60, Springfield, MO, passed away at 11:33 PM, Friday, July 21st, 2023, in her home.
She was born November 18th, 1962, in Winchester, Kentucky to Lois and Garrett Strange. She attended Powell County High School in Stanton, Kentucky. She married the love of her life Gregg Spurlock on September 28th, 1985, in Clay City, Kentucky. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Teresa enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, embroidering, going out to eat, playing with her grandchildren and playing games.
Teresa deeply loved her family, and many times said her family is what kept her going. She was strong and stubborn, but it was these very traits that helped her to fight her daily battles with illnesses. Teresa was a gentle, nurturing soul, always supporting those she loved. Teresa was known for her kindness and warmth and was always willing to help anyone she could. She will be loved and missed every day, more than any words can express.
She was preceded in death by her father, Garrett Strange.
She is survived by her husband, Gregg Spurlock; her children, Beverly Furstenberg and Heather Spurlock; grandchildren Raelynn Givens and Gabriel Furstenberg; mother, Lois Strange and brothers Leon and Richard Strange.
Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00am on Friday, July 28, 2023, at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held following the visitation at 10:00am in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Dave Perry officiating. Burial will follow the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Springfield.
