Obituary for Teresa AnnMarie "Tish" Holmes (Chiera)
Teresa “Tish” Ann Marie Chiera Holmes passed away at her home on August 31st, 2022, in Brookline, Mo.
She was born in Troy, New York where most of her immediate family still reside today. She attended St. Augustine’s Catholic school then onto Lansingburg High School in Troy New York, with her siblings Mary, Frank,John, Tom, and Joseph(Pep). She loved her New York family dearly and would always visit every chance she got.
She is preceded in death by her parents Dorthy and Joseph Chiera, her brother John, and sister Mary, and her husband Steve. Her father arrived in New York City, Ellis Island via boat from Italy- when he was a boy. Tish grew up in a traditional Catholic Italian family- food, loud, and lots of love. Everyone was welcome at the dinner table.
She is survived by her five daughters Desie Morrow, Janeen West, Tonya Hughes, Karrine Holmes, and Kathy Burton, and one son Brannon Holmes. She also left behind 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Sunday September 11th followed by Funeral Services at 2:00 pm at Herman- Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Mo. 65806.
