Obituary for Tammy Jo Russell
Tammy Jo Schreiber Russell, Born May 3rd 1959.
Cherished and beloved Mother, Daughter, SIster, Gramma, Great Gramma, neighbor, friend and companion.
Tammy passed away peacefully at home with her daughters by her side on March 28, 2024.
She struggled with declining health but never let that stop her from doing anything she could for her family and friends. She fought hard and she is at peace now.
Tammy had a huge heart and was so generous with what little she had. She made friends wherever she went and was a social butterfly.
In her early years she was a LPN and her passion for caretaking never faded. Once unable to work any longer she filled her days helping others any way she could. She loved to cook and would always say “the way to someone's heart is through their stomach”. She adored her animals and spoiled them rotten. She could throw the best doggy birthday parties. Strong willed she liked what she liked. Never ran out of Dr. Pepper and would drive endless miles for a Starbucks. She hated the cold. Come spring she flourished and was busy getting her flowers and garden going as she truly had a green thumb. Her porch looked the best every year, breathtaking actually. She was so proud. A small and frail mighty fighter she was redeemed and her family knows without a doubt she is rejoicing in Heaven!
She is preceded in death by her Mother: Jo Walsh. Brothers: Howard and Steven Schreiber. Great Granddaughter: Karlie Russell
She is survived by her Father: Albert (Patsy) Schreiber. Her daughters: Lori Jo and Kelli Jo. Three grandchildren: Isaac, Aiden and Olivia as well as Great Granddaughters: Charlotte and Addilyn.
Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 10:00 am at New LIfe Church. 3245 S Kansas Ave. Springfield, Mo. 65807.
