Obituary for Stephen Anthony Duffle

Steve, age 65, from the Edmond OK area, was killed on Friday September 27th, 2019 while on a motorcycle cruise in Harrison AR with his wife Denise.

Steve was a man of many talents who wore different hats for many different people (as long as it was his red Delco hat). He was a loving husband, father grandfather and friend and brother to many. He was happy being “The Guy” when anyone needed ANYTHING. He was a talented diesel mechanic who worked for Cummins from 1974 to the early 80’s and then Delco Diesel for 37 years where he had loyal customers who knew he was the person to get their pumps fixed right every time.

Steve was a family man that was married to Denise for 46 years. They had 2 sons, Willy and Joey, and 2 surrogate daughters, Ami Medley and Jennifer Duffle whom he never labeled as nieces because he loved them as if they were his own. He always hosted the big family holiday get-togethers at 4th of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas to make sure the extended family didn’t lose touch.

Steve was preceded in death by: Dad and Mom, Leon & Rose Duffle; Brothers Charles, Barry, and Don – his best friend and little brother. He is survived by: Wife Denise; Sons Willy & Joey; Sisters: Mary Knori, Betty Woody & husband Johnny, Marca; Brothers: Bob & wife Cindy, David & wife Debby, Mike & wife Rebecca; Grandchildren: Xavier Going, Bryan, Natalie & Mason Duffle; 26 nieces & nephews and their MANY children and grandchildren.

Steve could almost always be found on Friday nights with Denise, Jennifer, Briar, Audrey (and occasionally other family) at Chili’s in Edmond.

Services will be announced and held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a veteran’s charity or your choice.
