Obituary for Shawn Ezra Conell
Shawn Ezra Conell was born on July 29, 1964. Early in the morning of September 18, 2022, following a long battle with a bad heart, he went home into the hands of the Heavenly Father.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dean E. and Sylvia A. Conell.
Shawn is survived by two sons Patrick A. Conell of Springfield, MO, Daniel Conell of Conway, MO and his longtime companion Joyce (Jo) Dickson. Also remaining are brothers James E. Conell (Nancy S.) of Republic, MO, N. Curtis Conell of Springfield, MO and sister Phyllis A. Conell also of Springfield, MO. There are also nieces, nephews, several aunts and uncles, a slew of cousins and many friends.
Shawn was a 1982 graduate of Hillcrest High School and had a passion for truck driving which he followed for several years. A Christian, he attended New Life Baptist Church in Willard, MO when possible. Patriotic, generous and fun loving with those he knew, he loved his sons dearly and was proud of them both. He was loved by his family and friends alike and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am-Noon on Monday, September 26, 2022 at New Life Baptist Church, 414 E. New Melville Road in Willard, Missouri where Funeral Services will held at Noon. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Springfield, Missouri. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
