Obituary for Sergey Lemetyuynen
Sergey Lemetyuynen of Springfield, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly in his home at the age of 68 on April 15, 2021. He was born September 19. 1952 in Taganrog, Russia to Yuri and Evgenia (Mari) Lemetyuynen.
He finished PhysTech University and received a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a Doctorate Degree in Space Industry. Most of his life, he worked in space industry and enjoyed retirement the last 6 years. He loved to travel, enjoyed fishing, barbecuing, and spending time with family. He loved going to basketball games to watch his son play.
He is survived by his wife Irina Lemetyuynen and his children Michael Lemetyuynen, Springfield, MO, Yulia and Curtis Whittington, Springfield, MO, Alexander and Tatiana Lemetyuynen, Korolev City, Russia, Ilareon Lemetyuynen, Moscow, Russia, 6 grandchildren, Yuri, Slavik, Roman, Danik, Sergey Lemetyuynen, and Isla Whittington.
Sergey Lemetyuynen’s visitation will be held at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E, Walnut St. on Thursday April 22, 2021 at 10 am followed by a memorial service at 11 am with Pastor Phillip Wright officiating. His ashes will be interred at Richwood Cemetery in Ozark, MO.
