Obituary for Sandra Irene "Sandy" Cendroski

Sandra Irene Cendroski (Perry), 69 June 8, 1949 - February 21, 2019

Surrounded by loved ones, Sandy was peacefully called home to our Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Sandy was united in marriage for 50 years to James R. Cendroski. They married on August 8, 1968 in Miami, Oklahoma. She is survived by her husband, James, and their three children Eric Bradley Cendroski and his wife Lindsey of Republic, Missouri; Timothy Julius Cendroski and his wife Harmony of Smithville, Missouri and Andrea Dawn Cendroski of Battlefield, Missouri. She is also survived by her brother Ernie Ford of Republic, Missouri; her sister Donna Serrano of Springfield, Missouri; her step-children Denise Olmstead of Mansfield, Texas and James Cendroski, Jr. of Monett, Missouri; her grandchildren Raylee, Wyatt, Savanah, Jackson, Mckenzie, Madalyne, and Macy; and her step grandchildren Kailey, Dereck and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her mother Frankie Ford and Step Father Ernest Ford of Springfield, Missouri and her cousin Pat Lahman of Wichita, Kansas.

Sandy was a dedicated and selfless wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She put the needs of others before her own and was a life-long caregiver. She loved nothing more than having all of her kids and grandkids together. She enjoyed fishing, camping, painting, listening to Elvis and playing bingo on Friday nights with her best friend Berta Olinger. Sandy took pride in maintaining an immaculate home and preparing home cooked meals for her family. She was the glue that held the family together.

One of Sandy's greatest accomplishments was becoming a nurse. After graduating nursing school, she worked at Springfield Health Care Center. Later she went to work at Sweetheart Cup as the plant nurse. While at Sweetheart, she also served in the role of Workman's Compensation Director and Human Resource Manager. Sandy was loved by all that knew her and will forever leave a lasting legacy of love for her family and friends. She will always be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
