Obituary for Rocco Samuel Vienhage

Rocco Samuel Vienhage, aged 60, died on June 28th, 2023 in Los Angeles, CA where he had lived since 1988, of complications following an extended illness.

He will be missed by his parents, Robert and Joan Vienhage (Springfield), his siblings, Mary Rose (Vienhage) Blatner (Mike), Gretchen (Vienhage) Conboy (Joe), Matthew Vienhage (Jill), Ann (Vienhage) Conway (Brett), Michael Vienhage , and Julia (Vienhage) Modest (Jason). His twenty nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews were very dear to him. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Lisa Vienhage (Schaeffer).

Rocco worked in finance, but his love was acting. He made lifelong friends through Springfield Little Theater and at West Coast Ensemble in LA. Rocco loved to travel, finding ways to visit family all over the country. He travelled with dear friends and family members to many beautiful sites all over the world. He loved good food and wine, enjoyed cooking and hosting dinner parties. Rocco never lacked for a dance partner at weddings or events. Rocco was active at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Hollywood, as a lector, teaching lectors and on the finance counsel. Rocco will be missed by so many friends. He had a way of making everyone feel special and close to him.

The family would like to thank all of Rocco's dear California friends for taking such loving care of him during his illness.
