Obituary for Roberta Kay Griffin (Shipley)
Roberta “Kay” Griffin, 73, passed peacefully on November 27, 2020 in her home in Battlefield, Missouri.
She was born December 21, 1946 in Springfield, Missouri to Arless and Ruby (McPherson) Shipley.
On February 14, 1970 she married Garry Lisenby and they had two children, Todd and Stacye.
September 29, 1990, she married Robert “Bob” Griffin and they were happily married for 20 years until his passing in 2011.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arless and Ruby; her infant sister Ramona; and her husband Bob.
Kay is survived by son Todd Lisenby; daughter Stacye Perriman and husband, Tim; brother Bob Shipley and girlfriend Maxine Hart; and a large extended family, including many friends who were family.
Kay was known as “Momma Kay” to all. She loved butterflies, road trips, the Kansas City Chiefs, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. She had a kind and loving spirit and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be planned at a later date.
