My Uncle Bob made his first trip East of the Mississippi to attend my wedding in 1982. I was honored! He lived longer than any other member of my family from that generation... through more than one risky situation, including military combat. He survived his wife, Amelia, & participated in her long-term illness care. I have great admiration for him, & will always think of him that way. He was in my thoughts & those of my brother, John, just before receiving the news of his passing.
