Obituary for Robert Francis "Bobby" Harrington Jr.
Robert "Bobby" Francis Harrington Jr., (68), of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Wednesday April 12th, 2023.
He was born April 20th, 1954 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Robert and Jean Harrington. He attended Field Kinley High School and Drury College, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
After college, he met the love of his life, Janice Burk. Bobby and Janice were married on May 29th, 1982 and remained inseparable throughout their 40-year marriage. They were blessed with one son, Joel.
Bobby worked as a district sales representative for Orgill Inc. for 36 years and achieved highest sales honors many times.
He was a passionately committed husband, father, grandfather (Bobber), and friend to many. His witty sense of humor and ability to light up the room were unmatched, and his undeniable love for the Lord was evident in all that he did. He cherished his two grandchildren and showered them with overflowing affection. Bobby greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time in God’s creation, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He will be missed by the many who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; his son, Joel (daughter-in-law Marisa); 2 grandchildren, Noah and Nora; his sister Julie (brother-in-law Kevin); and 2 nieces, Hilary and Audrey.
Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Monday, April 17th, 2023 at Immaculate Conception with Rev. Msgr. Thomas Reidy officiating and under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, Springfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church: 3555 S. Freemont Ave. Springfield, MO 65804.
