Obituary for Robert Joseph Dysko

Robert Joseph “Bob” Dysko, 92, of Springfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, April 8, 2024.

Bob was born on September 11, 1931 in Westbury, New York. He graduated from Westbury High School and attended SUNY at Farmingdale. He moved to Fair Grove, Missouri in 1980, and then to Springfield in 2016. He was proud to have been a US Army veteran (Korean War) and a volunteer fireman (both Westbury NY and Fair Grove MO), and he was an active supporter of the Southwest Missouri State marching band.

He is survived by his sons Robert Charles (Patricia) and Joseph George (Marie); his daughter Rachel Anne Moore (Christopher); his sister Dorothy “Dot” Parker; grandchildren Elizabeth Eva Dysko, Matthew Robert Dysko (Brandi Garced), Chelsea Marie Erausquin (Brice), Andrew Joseph Dysko, and Nathan Alexander Dysko; and 2 great-grandchildren Camille Frances Garced Dysko and Harrison Alexander Erausquin.

He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years Doris Cornelia (Marino), and his siblings Norma Joan Dysko and William John “Skip” Dysko.

A celebration of his life will occur at a later time.
