Obituary for Ricky Alan Grace
Ricky Alan Grace, 66, of Springfield, Missouri, passed on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at his home in Springfield.
Ricky was born September 30, 1955, in Satanta, Kansas. He was adopted by Roy Ellis Grace and Dorothy Rachel Grace. He grew up in Rolla, Kansas and graduated from Rolla High School. He also served in the Army, where he earned several medals and served overseas during Desert Storm.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father Roy Ellis Grace, his mother Dorothy Rachel Grace and stepfather Tracy Minnick. He is survived by his children, Tonja Simpson and husband Jeremy of Urbana, Missouri, and Kristi O’Kane and husband Patrick of Topeka, Kansas, and their mother Loretta Brooke; his children Samantha Nitzel of Davenport, Iowa, and Jason Grace and wife Aisha of Bettendorf, Iowa, and their mother Kristin Grace; four grandchildren Caitlin Brown and husband Kurtis of Cross Timbers, Missouri, Macayla Pittman and husband Kirk of Topeka, Kansas, Jakob O’Kane of Topeka, Kansas, and Shia Grace of Bettendorf, Iowa; three great grandchildren Zaylee Brown, Artemis Pittman, and Elijah Pittman.
Graveside Services consisting of Full Military Honors will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 31, 2022, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road, Springfield, Missouri 65804.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a Veterans charity of the donor's choice.
