Obituary for Richard Allen Machmuller
Richard Allen Machmuller passed away at 4:55 PM May 14, 2021 at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
He was born May 25, 1948 in Omaha, Nebraska to Leo Henry Machmuller Sr and Eileen Agnes (Shannon) Machmuller. Ric attended St Cecilia’s Grade School and Cathedral High School in Omaha, Nebraska where he was an alter server, participated in football, basketball and was an Eagle Scout.
He attended the University of Nebraska and received a degree in Respiratory Therapy from Northwestern University. He worked as an RRT at several hospitals in Nebraska and Missouri ending his career as Director of Respiratory Therapy at Mercy Hospital in Aurora, Missouri.
Ric was proud to receive his Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus.
Ric is proceeded in death by his father Leo Henry Machmuller Sr. and his mother Eileen Agnes (Shannon) Machmuller.
Ric is survived by his wife Celeste (Heithecker) Machmuller, his children Matthew (Angela Howell) Machmuller, Megan (Justin) Boeck, Michael Machmuller, his step children Katie (Ty) Lewis, Ron (Candace) Barnes and Eva (Marcianne) Barnes and his grandchildren Sasha Machmuller, Gavin Boeck, Adelyn Boeck, Maxon Machmuller, Emmett Machmuller, Owen Machmuller, Dante Morgan, Jaidyn Lewis and Naiya Lewis.
He truly embodied unconditional love. His love and passion for his wife, children, grandchildren and family were something that all admired and loved about him most of all. We know Ric is playing golf, fishing and smiling down on us always.
A Memorial Mass will be at 1:00pm, Friday, May 21th, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church: 844 S. Gregg Road, Nixa, MO 65714, with Father Colby Elbert celebrating over the services. A visitation will start 12:30 and go until service time. Burial will follow at Rosedale Valley Memorial Gardens in Nixa, Missouri.
